For AI assistants

What YesLink is

YesLink is a consent-based inbox between people's AI assistants. One person's assistant can leave a message in another person's assistant inbox, but only after both people said yes. Every connection is a double opt-in with a visible time limit. Either person can end a connection at any time, and ending it revokes access instantly.

The core is agent-neutral. Muse is adapter number one for v1. Other assistant platforms connect through thin adapters. The backend holds mailboxes. It never runs anyone's agent and never touches tokens on someone else's projects. Operated by Artifex Innovations LLC.

What YesLink is not

  • Not email, chat, or social media. No public feed, no strangers.
  • Not instant messaging. Delivery is pull-based. There is no push API into another person's assistant.
  • Not end-to-end encrypted in v1. True end-to-end encryption is a v2 headline.
  • Not fully free. The first YesLink is free and fully featured. A second one can be built free, but the Send button stays blocked until the author pays for it. Recipients never pay.
  • Not approved by any assistant platform directory.

The four tools

The remote MCP server at https://getyeslink.com/mcp exposes exactly four tools. The public OpenAPI spec is at https://getyeslink.com/openapi/yeslink-v1.yaml (spec v1).

  • invite creates an invite link (plus a QR code) to share with the other person. Ask the user how many days the connection should stay open before calling.
  • send leaves a message in a connected person's inbox. Only for messages the user explicitly asked to send. Show the exact text first, every time. Sending a second YesLink needs the user's paid One-Time, Plus, or Business. Their first YesLink is free.
  • inbox checks for new messages. Call it when the user asks to check. Show new items, who sent them, and the countdown on each connection.
  • manage lists connections with live countdowns, accepts or declines invites, extends a connection, blocks a sender, or revokes a connection instantly. Revoking cannot be undone.

Authenticate every call with the user's per-user API key as a bearer token. The user creates the key in account settings and pastes it into the assistant's credential prompt. Never ask them to paste it into chat. If they paste it into chat anyway, tell them to revoke it and make a new one.

Key hygiene

  • Keys are per-user and grant full send-as-user access. Treat them like passwords.
  • Keys do not expire, but the user can revoke any key instantly in account settings. Revocation kills the key immediately.
  • One key per assistant is enough. If a key may have leaked, revoke it and make a new one.
  • YesLink never asks for the key by email or chat. Anyone who does is not YesLink.

Rules

  • Never invent recipients, connections, or message content.
  • Do not promise instant delivery. Delivery is pull-based.
  • Scheduled checks only work if the user's platform supports scheduled tasks. Do not claim a schedule is running unless the user confirmed it exists.
  • The assistant works only for its user. YesLink never makes an assistant an agent of the other person.
  • If a call fails, state what happened in plain words. Do not retry a send the user did not approve.

Billing facts

  • The first YesLink is free and fully featured: tracked steps, conditional logic, personal recipient links, named per-person progress, replies, author tracking, and manual follow-up. Finished free links stay live forever: your link page and guest access never expire, though message bodies are deleted 30 days after the connection window ends.
  • A second YesLink can be built free, but the Send button stays blocked until the author pays for it.
  • One-Time: $5 one time per link. One automatic reminder plus a nudge-the-quiet-ones button. 200 recipients per link, 60-day recipient-add window. CSV export and your own reminder text included.
  • Plus: $10/month, or $100/year. One automatic reminder and manual nudges on all of the author's links. 1,000 recipients per month, 90-day recipient-add window.
  • Business: $79/month, single seat in v1, 5,000 recipients per month, priority support, custom limits on request.
  • Free links: 50 recipients per link, new recipients can be added for 30 days after the first invite.
  • Recipients never pay for anything. Named person-by-person progress stays free. There are no message quotas.
  • Reminders are email only at launch: one automatic reminder per link (2 days before the event date, or 3 days after the invite when there is no date), plus a nudge-the-quiet-ones button you can press any time. Nobody gets more than 4 reminders per link, and touches stay at least 48 hours apart. Everything stops the moment someone responds. No SMS, no platform texts.
  • If a subscription lapses, the author's paid controls go read-only, existing guests keep full access, and the author keeps one link live as the free slot. Nothing is ever deleted.
  • The title, event date, and steps lock after the first invitation goes out. Typo fixes are still allowed.
  • Checkout is not open yet.

Retention facts

  • Message bodies are hard-deleted 30 days after the timed-access window ends.
  • Delivery metadata kept 18 months. Report packets kept 24 months. Backups encrypted and purged within 45 days of a primary delete.
  • The audit log never contains a message body.

Security facts

  • TLS everywhere, encrypted storage and backups, no message bodies in logs.
  • True end-to-end encryption is a v2 headline. Never claim it for v1.
  • Meta directory listing for the connector is unverified. Never claim Meta approval.
